Winter break for Milwaukee Public Schools is right around the corner, and here are events to keep students busy this holiday season.

Mommy & Me Christmas Sip & Paint Party: Sunday, Dec. 21

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, join Developing Youth Inc. for a Christmas sip and paint party at King Hall, 3413 N. Martin Luther King Drive. Registration is free but required. More information here.

Cozy Hot Cocoa Concoctions: Monday, Dec. 22

Teenagers  13 to 18 can experiment with different ingredients to make their favorite hot chocolate recipe at the Milwaukee Public Library Capitol Branch community room, 3969 N. 74th St., from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22. More information here.

Hip-Hop Hangouts: Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31, join Your Move MKE at 1674 S. 11th St. for a free meal and open center with a computer lab, recording studio and games. Visit its website or contact info@yourmovemke.org for more information.

Milwaukee County Zoo Frosty Free Week: Friday, Dec. 26 to Tuesday, Dec. 30

For five days, the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, offers free daytime admission. Free hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 and Dec. 29-30, and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27-28. More information here.

Winter Break Fun Play Date with Art: Saturday, Dec. 27

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., children 5 and under with an adult can make an animal box and join for story time and sing-along at the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Windhover Hall, 700 N. Art Museum Drive. The event is free with admission to the museum, which is $27 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. More information here.

Yoga class with Future Urban Leaders: Saturday, Dec. 27

Join Future Urban Leaders for a yoga class from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 5305 W. Capitol Drive, #4. Family and friends are welcome. Register online by Wednesday, Dec. 24. More information here.

Sundaes on Sunday: Sunday, Dec. 28

Chat with the community and Milwaukee Police Department while enjoying free ice cream sundaes with Safe & Sound from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28 at Sentry Foods, 7101 W. Lisbon Ave. More information here.

Coloring Party: Monday, Dec. 29

The Milwaukee Public Library Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave, will have coloring pages and materials available for children ages 6 to 12 in the Children’s Herzfeld Activity Center from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29. More information here.

Audubon Kids Winter Adventure Camp: Tuesday, Dec. 30

Youths ages 7 and older can explore nature trails, search for animal tracks, conduct winter experiments  and enjoy hot cocoa at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, 1111 E. Brown Deer Road, for its winter adventure camp from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Tickets are $15 for youths with a membership and $20 for non-member youths. More information here.

Your Move MKE Vision Night: Wednesday, Dec. 31

Ring in the new year with intuition with Your Move MKE’s vision day at 1674 S. 11th St from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Make a vision board, set personal goals, eat a free meal and snacks and celebrate achievements and intentions together with a toast with juice. Registration opens on Dec. 25 – register here
