1. MPS Budget Community Meeting: Tuesday, March 3
Milwaukee Public Schools is hosting a community meeting to learn more about budget priorities, processes and timelines for the 2026-27 school year. The meeting will take place at Riverside University High School, 1615 E. Locust St., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. More information here.
2. District 5 Crime and Safety Meeting: Wednesday, March 4
Attend the Milwaukee Police Department’s District 5 crime and safety meeting at ThriveOn King, 2153 N. Martin Luther King Drive, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4. More information here.
3. Amani Housing and Economic Development meeting: Wednesday, March 4
Connect with neighbors and community partners at Amani’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 4 at Dominican Center, 2470 W. Locust St. The meeting runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. More information here.
4. Voces de la Frontera Citizenship Class: Wednesday, March 4
Take English and Spanish citizenship classes for the English exam with Voces de la Frontera on Wednesday, March 4 from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. at the Mitchell Street Library Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. Students must have at least five years of residency or three years as a permanent resident married to a U.S. citizen. Register with Roselia Navarro at 414-581-9617. 5. Food for Health Community Volunteer Event: Thursday, March 5
Join Food For Health as a volunteer to assist them in their mission to combat diet-related diseases. You can support the production kitchen from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 at 334 W.
