Rod, line, hook, and bait; we’ll provide the gear, you bring the curiosity! This beginner-friendly fishing experience is perfect for youth to learn the fundamentals of this classic outdoor skill as they explore the parts of a fish, practice handling a rod and reel, bait a hook, cast a line, and (with a little luck!) catch a fish, all while building confidence and comfort in the outdoors.
Open to youth ages 8–12. Parents or guardians are not required to participate but must remain onsite at the UEC during the program. Participants 16 years and older are required to hold a WI Fishing License.
