On Wednesday, August 26, The Community is partnering with the Milwaukee County Housing Division to host a Landlord Outreach & Networking Event.

We’re looking to connect with two groups: landlords who currently provide reentry housing and landlords who may be interested in exploring it. This is a chance to connect directly with organizations and County efforts working to expand safe, stable, affordable housing for people leaving incarceration, and to learn about the resources and support available to housing providers, including the Milwaukee County Lift program.
Even if you’re not able to attend, we’d love to hear from you about why you or housing providers you know DO or DON’t rent to individuals leaving incarceration. Understanding those barriers and concerns helps us troubleshoot and advocate for the policies, practices, and landlord support that make this work possible. If you can join us in person, even better. We want your voice in the room.
Know another landlord, property owner, or property management company that should be in the room? Sharing this with all housing providers at the table expands what’s possible.
This event is the beginning of what we hope will become strong, long-term partnerships between landlords, reentry organizations, and Milwaukee County. We want to provide real support, answers, and a direct line to the people behind these programs.
