People are losing Medicaid and SNAP benefits because of new federal work/paperwork requirements. Benefits for non-citizens are being curtailed. Supermarket pullouts have resulted in food apartheid in a broad swath of Milwaukee.

Listen to and engage in Q&A with a panel of three local experts on these matters at the Community Forum, “Healthcare and Food Equity Issues in Milwaukee County.”

The forum occurs Saturday, September 26, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Urban Ecology Center, Washington Park.

Doors open at 10 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Ample free parking is available, with handicap spaces and a drop off area near the door.

Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County.

This is a free event, but registration is requested.
