CVS Caremark pharmacies went tobacco-free in their stores last week—a full month ahead of their originally planned October 1st implementation date.  This is great news for all of us in Milwaukee!  Even better, they just announced their refusal to carry any e-cigarettes, which are unregulated and can still create addiction-like changes in the brain.

On their website, CVS provides rationale for their tobacco-free decision by stating that cigarettes and tobacco products have no place in a setting where health care is involved.  We couldn’t agree more, and we encourage all pharmacies in the Greater Milwaukee area to follow suit.
