1. Story time at the Mitchell Park Domes: Monday, Dec. 16

The Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., is hosting a story time session from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16. Children are invited to listen to a story in The Domes education center. The theme is December traditions.

2. Circles of Strength: women’s gathering: Tuesday, Dec. 17

The Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, 930 W. Historic Mitchell St., is hosting a women’s gathering from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17. Women of all ages and walks of life are invited. There will be food and activities designed to promote support, growth and connectivity.

3. Community conversation with Sen. Lena Taylor: Wednesday, Dec. 18
Lena Taylor, who is running for mayor, is inviting the community out for a conversation regarding public safety and public health. The event will be held at the Wisconsin African American Women’s Center, 3020 W. Vliet St., starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18.

4. BLOC’s holiday party: Thursday, Dec. 19

Black Leaders Organizing for Communities, or BLOC, is throwing a holiday party from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19. In addition to celebrating BLOC’s second birthday, the party will also address the 2020 election. General admission tickets cost $20. Sponsor tickets range from $50 for an individual to $100 for an organization. The party will be held at Garfield’s 502, 502 W. Garfield Ave.

5. Holiday decorating contest in Enderis Park: Saturday, Dec. 21
The Enderis Park Neighborhood Association wants to find out who has the most festive home in Enderis Park. Judges will be checking out houses from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. The winners will receive a lawn sign and a shout-out in the Enderis Park newsletter and Facebook page.
