1. Equity in Tech Summit: Tuesday, Oct. 18

Milky Way Tech Hub and MARS Solution Group are hosting the first Equity in Tech Summit, with discussions on topics including using data to advance racial equity, women in the boardroom and mitigating hiring bias. The summit takes place from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Saint Kate -The Arts Hotel, located at 139 E. Kilbourn Ave. Tickets are $20.

2. Love Without Violence conference: Wednesday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 21

The Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention is hosting the Love Without Violence conference, which focuses on solutions to prevent family violence. The conference starts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and continues through Friday, Oct. 21. The conference is free and takes place at the Hillside Terrace Family Resource Center, located at 1452 N. 7th St. You can also stream the event on Facebook Live on the Office of Violence Prevention’s page. 3. Drive-thru job fairs: Wednesday, Oct. 19

The City of Milwaukee Office of Workforce Development is hosting three job fairs across the city from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, where you can drive or walk-thru and receive information from companies hiring in fields, including manufacturing, health care, retail and more.

The three locations are:

Northside Church of God parking lot, 4858 N. 19th St.

Ross IES parking lot, 7800 W. Brown Deer Road

UMOS Inc. parking lot, 2701 S. Chase Ave.

4. “#MPPDoc” documentary screening and talkback: Thursday, Oct. 20

Activate Co. hosts this documentary screening and talkback to “reflect, celebrate and inspire positive actions for generations to come at Moody Park.” The free event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning, located at 2131 E. Hartford Ave.

5.  “Altered Ego” art show: Thursday, Oct. 20

“Altered Ego” is a solo exhibition by Terrell “EGO the Artist” Morgan that promises a “spiritual mental health journey through art.” Catch it for free from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 at The Mitch Wedding and Event Venue, located at 1104 W. Historic Mitchell St.
