1. Early voting: Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 

There is a primary election for aldermanic and judicial races on Tuesday, Feb 21. You can vote early at seven locations through Saturday, Feb. 18.

2. Puppet show at MATC’s “Magical Black Tears” exhibit: Saturday, Feb. 18 

Throughout February, Milwaukee Area Technical College is hosting “Magical Black Tears Experience,” an interactive exhibition designed for children to learn how to create a more just society for Black people. On Saturday, catch a puppet show for all ages based on the exhibition. The show is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at MATC’s Create Gallery, located at 1015 N. 6th St. RSVP is required; the show is free.

3. Community wellness fair: Saturday, Feb. 18 

Get free (optional) COVID-19 vaccines and attend workshops on mental health, yoga, healthy cooking and more at this wellness fair hosted by Safe & Sound and Running Rebels Community Organization. The fair takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 225 W. Capitol Drive.

4. Wisconsin Black Historical Society kids tour: Saturday, Feb. 18 

The Wisconsin Black Historical Society gives tours often, but this Saturday will be setting up a special tour with kids in mind. The tour costs $10 and runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the museum, located at 2620 W. Center St.

5. Black and green history at Havenwoods: Saturday, Feb. 18  

Join Friends of Havenwoods for stories featuring Black environmentalists, both local and international. This event runs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Havenwoods State Forest, located at 6141 N. Hopkins St.
