1. Medicare 101: Tuesday, Nov. 28

Attend drop-in sessions where you will learn the fundamentals of Medicare such as how to enroll and manage insurance. The sessions will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Marcia P. Coggs Human Services Center, 1220 W. Vliet St., Room 104.  More information here.

2. MilWALKee Walks Volunteer Thank You Celebration: Tuesday, Nov. 28

MilWALKee Walks will hold its Volunteer Thank You celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Center Street Library, 2727 W. Fond du Lac Ave. Click here to RSVP. More information here.

3. Sherman Phoenix Anniversary: Tuesday, Nov. 28

The Sherman Phoenix Marketplace will celebrate its five-year anniversary from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 with food, music and prizes at 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave. This event is free and open to the public. More information here.

4. Amazing Faith Dinner Dialogues: Wednesday, Nov. 29

Every last Wednesday of the month, Amazing Faith Dinner Dialogues brings people of different faiths  together to share their perspectives on faith over a meal. The next moderated discussions will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Bay View United Methodist Church, 2772 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. Registration is required. More information here.

5. Complete MPS Survey on School Calendar Option: Now through Dec. 3

At the Dec. 21 meeting of the Milwaukee Board of School Directors, Milwaukee Public Schools administrators will recommend a single calendar for all schools in the district. To get feedback from the community, the district is asking residents to complete a survey at mpsmke.com/calsurvey, You will receive a link to the survey in your email. The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, Dec. 3. More information here.

BONUS: Milwaukee County Courthouse Tree Lighting: Thursday, Nov. 30

Milwaukee County’s annual Courthouse Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 901 N. Ninth St., on the first-floor rotunda.  This free event will feature Santa Claus and music. More information here.
