1. “Knights and Kings”: Friday, Dec. 29
Your Move MKE and Milwaukee Turners invites gentlemen to their “Knights and Kings Tie Tying and Shirt Fitting” event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29 at 1107 W. 2. Networking Brunch: Friday, Dec. 29
The Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition will host a brunch while analyzing how Mary, the mother of Jesus, intersects with Muslim tradition. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 29 at 5235 S. 27th St. A $15 purchase is required. You must RSVP. More information here.
3. Kwanzaa Celebration: Saturday, Dec. 30
Kwanzaa’s fifth principle is called Nia, which means “purpose.” The Sankofa Council of Milwaukee will honor this principle with a celebration from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 3353 N. 4. “Open Family Play”: Saturday, Dec. 30
The Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market will include an “Open Family Play,’’ where children can participate in imaginative play and learning activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. Adult supervision is required. More information here.
5. Public Animal Feeding: Saturday, Dec. 30
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will hold an animal feeding from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at Havenwoods State Forest, 6141 N. Hopkins St. Visitors will have the chance to learn about different animals such as turtles, snakes, and more while feeding them. More information here.
