1. Mulchfest 2024: Saturday, Jan. 6

The Enderis Park Neighborhood Association invites  residents to bring their holiday trees to 2956 N. 72nd St. from 9 a.m. 10 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6. The trees will be mulched, and participants will receive a goodie bag. More information here.

2. Milwaukee Public Library Is Hiring Teen Interns: Ongoing

The Milwaukee Public Library is hiring Library Teen Interns who will serve as faces and voices for the library, spearhead teen outreach projects and develop new programs for teens in the Milwaukee community. They consult on space design and redesign, mentor their peers and host events. You can fill out the application here.

3. Give Input on City Growth: Through Tuesday, Jan. 9

Leaders from the Growing MKE initiative, a citywide planning effort that focuses on housing growth, seek the input of residents. You can take a survey here. In case you missed it: The city seeks your input on how Milwaukee grows. Here’s how to provide it.

4. Afro-Caribbean Dance: Sunday, Jan. 7

Juanibi Wellness will offer $5 Afro-Caribbean dance classes from noon to 1 p.m., beginning on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 800 W. Walnut St. The classes are designed to give participants a safe space to be themselves while learning new dance techniques.  More information here.

5. Soldiers to Civilians Self-Care Sundays: Sunday, Jan. 7  

Veterans can attend a free biweekly group wellness session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7. at the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace, 3536 W.
