Elections are just around the corner. Here are key dates you need to know.

Sept. 19: Deadline for clerks to start mailing absentee ballots to voters who have an absentee ballot request on file.

Oct. 16: The last day to register to vote both online and by mail. In-person registration at a clerk’s office is available until Nov. 1. Wisconsin residents can also register to vote at their polling place on Election Day.

Oct. 22: Early in-person voting starts.

Oct. 31: The final day to request an absentee ballot from your clerk. The request must be submitted by 5 p.m.

Nov. 1: Final day to register in person at your municipal clerk’s office.

Nov. 3: Last day of early in-person voting.

Nov. 5: General election. Any voters who requested an absentee ballot online must return the completed ballot to their polling place by 8 p.m.
