Journey House welcomes community to new facility
The Journey House Center for Youth and Family Athletics is running and open to the public. The state-of-the-art facility houses programming for the center, as well as for the adjoining Longfellow Elementary School.

Banner flies for south side baseball team’s first-ever championship
Manager Julian Haliga, of the Felix Mantilla Baseball League, has coached youth baseball for more than a decade, but his team had never won a championship. Nor had any other coach in the 39-year history of the league. Now they are district champions.
