Silver City offers sounds of summer

The Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Silver City’s free outdoor music event, continues with the final installment from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17. The concert will feature the band, I’m Not a Pilot, accompanied by Latin rock band, Purple Tongue.

The concert is free and will take place at Arlington Heights Park, between National and Pierce under the 35th St. viaduct. It is sponsored by Silver City Main Street, Layton Boulevard West Neighbors, P&H Mining Equipment, Harnischfeger’s Employees Association and WMSE 91.7.
