Groundbreaking is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 for a new environmental center, 24-acre park and outdoor classroom at 3700 W. Pierce St. in Silver City.
The event celebrating creation of the Urban Ecology Center Menomonee Valley Branch will kick off construction and give participants information on plans for the project. It is sponsored by the Urban Ecology Center and Menomonee Valley Partners as part of their joint From the Ground Up project.
