Despite the rain on a recent Sunday, Milwaukee residents came out to enjoy an event showcasing five local museums.
The Milwaukee Museum Mile kickoff event included Jewish Museum Milwaukee, The Charles Allis Art Museum, Museum of Wisconsin Art at St. John’s On The Lake, The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum and the North Point Lighthouse at Lake Park. Admission at all five locations was free.
Each museum offered free docent-led tours and light refreshment. Activities for children also were available, including a Milwaukee Museum Mile scavenger hunt.
