Once a car repair shop, the Milwaukee Asian Market on Mill Road and 76th in Havenwoods opened in June 2009. Although unremarkable on the outside, its interior is colorful, lively and has everything from food to clothing to toys to toiletries.
On the far north side of Milwaukee, Havenwoods gets its name from the 237-acre Havenwoods State Forest. The neighborhood features an active industrial corridor, a growing Hmong population, and is home to Uihlein Soccer Park and Growing Power, Inc.
