HealthCareGovLike citizens throughout the country, Milwaukeeans will be able to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act until Dec. 15 (for coverage beginning Jan. 1). But if you’re the type who likes to check items off your list as quickly as possible, enrollment starts today.

You can sign up on any computer with Internet access. If you need help filling out the application, you can get your questions answered online through a “live chat” or by calling (800) 318-2596. Both options are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

However, if you prefer personal assistance from a live human being, below are some of the local organizations where trained individuals will be available to help you. Most suggest calling ahead.
