A first-of-its-kind program in Milwaukee will begin in the Washington Park neighborhood on Saturday, November 2nd, giving residents the opportunity to learn from and walk with a physician. The free “Walk with a Doc” program, being sponsored by Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, is being offered on the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. Walkers meet at the Washington Park Pool, hear a 10-minute overview of a health topic and then walk with the doctor who answers questions during the 30- to 40-minute walk. Walkers do not need to register and are encouraged to arrive at the Washington Park Pool just before 10 a.m.
This weekend, Dr. Madelaine Tully, a family practice physician at the Lisbon Avenue Health Center, will share her time to walk with residents and answer questions. Doctors from various specialties will host each month’s walk.

Froedtert is pleased to join together with its many partners in the Washington Park area who are collaborating to improve the well-being of this neighborhood and its residents.
