Urban Ecology Center moves forward with Washington Park plans

The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors has approved a long-term lease for the Urban Ecology Center in Washington Park that will allow the center to expand its facilities and services. The center also is planning a $14 million fundraising campaign.

Habitat for Humanity launches historic Midtown housing initiative

A $200,000 grant from Wells Fargo is helping Habitat for Humanity to build, rehab and repair 100 homes in the Midtown area. Officials say the project will create the highest concentration of affordable, single-family homes built in Milwaukee since World War II.

Historic designation for Washington Park sparks spirited conversation on public land use
