January 6, 2015 by Diverse & Resilient Leave a Comment

Diverse & Resilient, Inc. (D&R) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a strong history of leadership, commitment to partnership, experience in public health, and most importantly, a passion for promoting the health and well-being of LGBT communities. Established in 1995, D&R is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin whose mission is the healthy development of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Wisconsin by creating and sustaining programs, groups and communities to take action.  Our name serves as reminder that LGBT people are everywhere, engage in interesting and meaningful lives, and contribute to the welfare of each other and the broader community.  D&R is the largest nonprofit LGBT organization in Wisconsin and has established itself as the statewide leader in addressing LGBT health disparities.

The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the mission and vision of the organization. This position provides leadership to a diverse staff of 20+ individuals and more than 120 Community Health Workers to create, implement, and sustain a diverse array of high quality, creatively branded, evidence-based programs and capacity building services focused on reducing health disparities experienced by LGBT people in Wisconsin. The CEO also sustains partnerships with more than 60 partner organizations, schools and government programs, and advocates with policy makers to change systems and structures that contribute to health disparities among LGBT people. Finally, the CEO oversees fund development activities of the organization and is responsible for fiscal management of the agency’s $1.8 million annual budget.

Learn more about the position on the Diverse & Resilient website.
