John Branham was born in Tennessee in 1947. He grew up in the segregated South, part of a nine-child household; his parents struggled financially. Branham graduated near the top of his high school class and was accepted to Tennessee State University, but he didn’t take the opportunity seriously until one day something happened he would never forget.
