United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee (UNCOM) and its member agencies recently participated in the ninth annual UNCOM Walk for Wellness, hosted by COA Youth & Family Centers.

The walk, which promotes the importance of healthy eating and active living, took place at the COA Goldin Center, 2320 W. Burleigh St.

Participants received brightly colored t-shirts and a healthy meal. Entertainment was provided by the Figureheads, and Mind Body & Soul Urban Line Dancers led a “movement for wellness.”

UNCOM member organizations are Agape Community Center, COA Youth and Family Centers, Journey House, Milwaukee Christian Center, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, Next Door, Northcott Neighborhood House and Silver Spring Neighborhood Center.
