For as long as she can remember, Reunitie Harmon has always been a helper. Harmon, who lives in Amani, was already looking after children at 9, became a mother at 19 and, now, cares for her sick mother and a young son with special needs. Though she’s put off her own dreams because of it, Harmon doesn’t regret offering a helping hand — in fact, she considers it a necessity.
