Angela Miller, 43, is a single mother who lives on the Near West SIde.
Miller grew up and graduated from high school in Bayview, but somewhere along the way she said she took a wrong turn. “I went in the wrong direction…I have been battling drugs for years,” she added.
It has been five years since she last touched drugs, and she struggles to stay clean.
She noted there are constant triggers where she lives, but that has taught her strength. Her two kids and boyfriend have been her source of happiness through tough times.
“There is no easy way out when you are trying to stop,” said Miller. “If you want to make something good of your life, you’ll do it.”
