Fernando “Fernie” Orozco, 31, recently moved back to Milwaukee and remembers the way his stepdad and grandfather smelled after coming home from jobs in the tannery and on the farm. Unfortunately, he said, these types of family- sustaining jobs don’t exist in Milwaukee anymore.
