As part of our mission to tell the stories of Milwaukee’s central city residents, Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service is seeking community members 18 or older who would like to photograph their lives and neighborhoods. We have four cameras to lend for a two-week period to community organizations for this purpose. Neighborhood group, block clubs, book clubs and other interest group are eligible.

The photographs and short descriptions will be posted in the Neighborhood Lens section of the NNS website. To see how Milwaukeeans have used our cameras to document their community, click on some of the galleries in Neighborhood Lens.

You can apply to borrow the cameras by emailing info@milwaukeenns.org with a few sentences about how you will use the cameras. If you are selected, we’ll arrange to get them to you. A responsible adult will need to sign for them.
