“Reader’s Choice has been imbedded into the fabric of the community for more than a generation, and Ms. Allison’s commitment to literacy and promotion of African- American writers is unparalleled and will be sorely missed,” Alderwoman Coggs said.
The event will feature a conversation with local author Pastor Lovelace Redmond, who will be discussing his book “Demon’s Gone Crazy.” Local artist Fidel Verdin will also be attending and will be interviewing store owner Carla Allison on her journey.
