Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service is excited to announce the publication of “The Long March to Freedom,” a commemorative 32-page book illustrated by local artist Gabriela Riveros. The book is a compilation of our 15-part series marking the 50th anniversary of the historic open housing marches organized by the NAACP Youth Council under the guidance of the Rev. James Groppi. It features the personal stories of nine members of the Youth Council, as well as in-depth articles written by NNS staff.
