As Artists Working in Education welcomes their 20th year of service to the Milwaukee community, we are pleased to announce nine additions to our board of directors.
In total, AWE is delighted to have nineteen board members who want to ensure Milwaukee area youth have access to the visual arts, and are thinking about public art in a new way though our strong Truck Studio and Artist-in-Residence programs. Our new board members are:
Danielle Decker, City of Milwaukee, Legislative Fiscal Manager
Bess Earl, LISC Milwaukee, Program Officer
Johannah Karstadt St. John, Professional Dimensions, Director
Janine Kolbeck, Engberg Anderson Architects, Marketing and Development
Donte McFadden, Marquette University, Senior Associate Director UR/HIP and Educational Opportunity Program

“It’s an exciting moment for AWE. These new leaders bring a depth of neighborhood planning, strategic business management, youth service, marketing and fund development experience to AWE as we look to the future and build deeper relationships in the community,” said Adam Carr, board chair at Artists Working in Education.
