COA Youth & Family Centers will be providing nutritious meals to children during the summer months through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The SFSP program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer, when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable.
Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under. Persons over 18 years of age who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year may receive free meals as well.
COA plans to provide meals to children at the following locations:
COA Youth & Family Centers – Goldin 2320 W. Burleigh Street
Milwaukee, WI 53206
COA Youth & Family Centers – Riverwest 909 E. North Avenue
Milwaukee, WI 53221
Each site will serve breakfast from 9:00-10am and a lunch from 12:00pm-1:30pm, Monday through Friday. Meals for our program will be prepared in the kitchen at the COA Goldin location each day. Both feeding programs will operate from June 18 through August 24.
