On August 22, the Milwaukee Municipal Court will be holding another Warrant Withdrawal Wednesday session in the community, to lift outstanding warrants as well as provide an employment and resource event.

Pre-registration for this special event is required, and will occur TOMORROW — Thursday, August 9th, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at the close of business. Individuals can register by calling 414-286-6600, as there is no onsite registration. This event will take place on Wednesday, August 22, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Journey House, 2110 W. Scott St. Only cases registered will be heard, and registration is limited to 250 people. All registered participants will receive further detail on when to arrive at the event for check in. Those NOT ELIGIBLE FOR WARRANT WITHDRAWAL include people who have attended previous Warrant Withdrawal events OR have a Building and Zoning Code Case OR for those who only have a juvenile case. Please visit milwaukee.gov/citycourt for more information.

There is no registration fee to attend the employment and resource event. It is recommended that all participants bring employment materials to assist in the recruitment and application process.

“The event is taking place during our first Hip Hop Week MKE (August 20 – August 26), which is appropriate as the week is focused on events aimed at individual and community growth and betterment physically, financially and spiritually,” said Alderman Khalif J. Rainey. “I encourage the community to pre-register and come to this event to learn more about employment opportunities and community resources available.”

If you are an employer interested in becoming a part of this event please contact Frederick D. Nelson III at 414-874-1655 or Frederick.Nelson@dwd.wisconsin.gov.
