Milwaukee Public Schools will hold a special career fair on Saturday, September 8 to hire teachers, paraprofessionals, facilities staff, and school nutrition service workers. The district has immediate job openings in these areas. Teachers may be eligible for on-site job offers.

What: MPS Career Fair

When: Saturday, September 8, 2018; 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Where: South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd, Milwaukee WI 53204

Career Fair attendees will get information on jobs that are available now and can apply on site. Teacher and paraprofessional candidates may be offered on-site interviews and possible on-site job offers. All applicants must successfully pass a physical examination and criminal background check.

Facilities and school nutrition applicants must take a test, which will be offered on site. Applicants may also choose to attend testing sessions on September 24 or 25.

Several entry-level openings in facilities and maintenance are available; these positions are rarely open due to a strong pathway for advancement. The facilities and school nutrition positions provide opportunity for advancement to managerial-level positions.

School nutrition and facilities positions are included in the district’s progressive Road to $15 compensation plan, which will move all employees to a minimum of $15 over the next two years.

Interested applicants can review open positions at mpsmke.com/jobs prior to the career fair. For more information, call the MPS Office of Human Resources at 414-475-8224.
