Anyone interested in starting or growing a business will have an opportunity to explore what it takes to succeed during the ten-week Business Academy hosted at the Social Development Commission. Launch MKE and BizStarts Milwaukee are nonprofit organizations that help entrepreneurs develop their companies. The class is taught by Launch MKE’s experienced instructors.
The cohort will cover topics including finance, marketing, budgeting and more. It is designed to help new business owners better understand potential markets and develop a plan to open a business. Current business owners have the opportunity to meet with other successful entrepreneurs to develop strategies that will help them expand their existing business. Each participant will work one-on-one with an entrepreneur coach before, during and after the program.
Classes start this week and will be held every Thursday from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Social Development Commission located 1730 W. North Avenue in Milwaukee. The class fee is $200. Participants will be reimbursed half of the registration fee after successfully completing the cohort.
