Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II invites all residents to attend the “Building Bridges – Metcalfe Park” Police and Resident Listening Circles meetings at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30 and Monday, November 26, 2018 (and February 25, March 25, April 23, 2019). The meetings are coordinated by the Frank Zeidler Center for Public Discussion and will take place at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society, 2620 W. Center St.
Attendees will get to know their neighborhood police officers as well as fellow residents who live, work, learn, and worship in Metcalfe Park. A free community meal is provided at each event and $10 stipends will be offered to the first 20 youth participants (ages 14-24) on each date.
“I encourage residents to attend these sessions as an opportunity for members of the Metcalfe Park community and members of the police community to get to know each other and build relationships,” said Ald. Stamper.
The sessions are sponsored by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the Northwestern Mutual Foundation.
