Jerry Busio smokes a cigarette outside of Oscar’s Pub and Grill in Clarke Square. Busio is a native of Walker’s Point, where he has lived for 46 years. He said that in the last 15 years he’s watched neighborhoods such as Walker’s Point, the Fifth Ward and the Third Ward go from “low-income families to people who are prominent in their jobs.” This has restored the sense of community that he used to feel in Walker’s Point while growing up in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.
