NNS reporter Edgar Mendez recently spoke with morning show hosts Dennis Walton and Saryea Murchison, as part of a new partnership with WGLB 1560 AM.

Mendez discussed his article on development efforts in the Villard Avenue commercial corridor, which coincidentally is also home to the WGLB studios. They discuss the area’s “boom times,” the impact of deindustrialization and current revitalization efforts. This includes work by the local BID on the Green Light Project, a public safety initiative in conjunction with MPD, as well as new developments and future plans for community listening sessions.
