Nō Studios is now inviting submissions of social justice stories, to further engage the community through the upcoming Social Justice Summit.
To recognize the overwhelming amount of social justice stories in Milwaukee that have been documented by community journals, school newspapers, non-profits, and the press – Nō Studios is hosting a Social Justice Story Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Nō Studios (1037 W. McKinley Ave.) in tandem with a reception for Imagine this Show: a collaborative visual arts show with Imagine MKE, focusing on themes of art activism and social connection.
The Social Justice Summit is taking place Nov. 15 and 16. The Summit will feature a variety of activists, artists, performers, and academics to discuss topics of criminal justice, fair housing, human trafficking, art as a change agent, and social justice for the next generation.
If you would like to submit your social justice story, be it a written article, photo journalism, podcast, etc. you can do so here: https://www.nostudios.com/sjs-story-submission
Outstanding social justice stories will be recognized by a panel.
Deadline for submissions is November 1st.
