BACKGROUND: The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone six months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season. The vaccine takes nearly two weeks to become effective – doctors at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s encourage everyone to be vaccinated before October 31st.
