Greetings!
I am back—this time with a call to action.
As you may know, I’m Damia Causey, the new career and resource columnist for the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service.
The goal of my biweekly column is to share tips and resources related to jobs and training that our readers can use such as career fairs, internship opportunities and the like. I am especially interested in helping to reduce barriers to employment by listing resources such as resume help, driver’s license clinics, GED/HSED classes, literacy programs and other tools to make searching and securing employment easier for our citizens.
In the spirit of working together for a common goal, I would like to ask for your help. If there are any upcoming events or services your organization provides that you think would make good content for my column, please email me at least two weeks in advance.
And please share this column with your neighbors, employers, schools and anyone else you think needs this information.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to helping you connect to our community.
