Milwaukee tap water is safe to drink and use. Our treatment and disinfection processes kill viruses, including COVID-19. Safe, healthy tap water is available at a much lower cost than bottled water.
Our Customer Service Center is closed to walk-in service at the Zeidler Municipal Services Building but we remain staffed and open to help customers with their bills and accounts. Please call us at (414) 286-2830 if you cannot pay by mailing a check, or pay online at milwaukee.gov/water/Customer Service.
Water is critical in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. To make sure everyone is able to practice good hygiene, we want you to know we never shut off water for non-payment of bills. Please pay what you can when the bill is due.
The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin has ordered all utilities to suspend late fees during the public health emergency.
Milwaukee Water Works has suspended meter exchanges so we can maintain social distancing between customers and our employees, unless one is necessary to restore water service.
