Well Mommy & Baby Safer-At-Home Care Package Drive-Up Initiative

In Response to Shelter-In-Place Due To COVID-19

The African American Breastfeeding Networking Inc. is hosting a Well Mommy and Baby Care Package Drive-up on Saturday, June 13 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 22207 N. 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI. The Black Lives Matters protests and COVID-19 exacerbates stress and anxiety of vulnerable populations. This Drive-up is designed to reduce stress/anxiety and enhance family-bonding time for 250 registered families in Milwaukee County. Families have chosen 1 of the 3 Care Packages: Family Centering, New Born Layette, and Mommy Self-Care. In order to receive a Care Package families had to watch an on-line COVID19 educational video.

Press invited to interview partners and families attended.
