Join PEARLS for Teen Girls, a dynamic and innovative leadership development non-profit serving girls in 5th through 12th grade in Milwaukee, in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, for a blood drive on Wednesday, June 24 from 10AM-3PM. By donating blood at this drive you make DOUBLE the impact in Milwaukee. The event takes place at The Cooperage located at 822 S Water Street.

For every blood donor, PEARLS will receive a donation from Versiti. Wear purple for PEARLS, give red for Versiti. This is a safe and socially distanced event. Safety precautions have been put in place and Versiti asks all participants to bring a mask and wait in their car until it is time for their donation appointment. To sign up to give blood, visit http:// bit.ly/3f3cvFO.

About PEARLS for Teen Girls

PEARLS for Teen Girls was founded as a volunteer effort in 1993 by a local entrepreneur and grew into a nonprofit in 2002, with the mission to improve the quality of life and strengthen the community through the empowerment and support of young women. PEARLS girls are provided with self-development tools, guidance, and support to strive for better, brighter futures by living out the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership, and Support. Our research-based curriculum helps girls break through the persistent barriers of generational poverty, racism, teen pregnancy, and low academic achievement in Milwaukee.
