A mural featuring 21 portraits of activists, community leaders and elected officials has been completed at the corner of North 14th and West Vliet streets.
The artwork covers two sides of a building, featuring the words “An injury to one is an injury to all” and “Give them their flowers now.”
The mural includes images of Vaun Mayes, Markasa Tucker, Tommy Franecki, Elle Halo, Jeremiah Thomas, Khalil Coleman, Sam Alford, Frank Nitty, Tory Lowe, Sedan Smith, Monique Liston, Venice Williams, Andre Lee Ellis, Angela Lang, Dasha Kelly, Eric Von, Thelma Sias, Lena Taylor, Milele Coggs, Sequanna Taylor and Destiny Monae.
The murals were painted by a collective of local artists.
