A group from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds held a candlelight rally Monday, the eve of early voting, outside of Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1905 W. Wisconsin Ave.
The organizers have committed to bringing “100,000 souls to the polls” for the 2020 general election.
Groups represented included MICAH, or Milwaukee Intercity Congregations Allied for Hope, the League of Progressive Seniors, Progressive Baptist Church, Souls to the Polls, Tikkun Ha-Ir and Voces De La Frontera
The socially distanced event included music, speakers and information about early voting.
