Current President and CEO, Ginny Finn, stepped into the role of Interim President and CEO following the December 2019 retirement of long-time President and CEO, Paula Penebaker. Finn’s intended three month interim role focused on stewarding the organization’s transition to an expanded program model, but with the arrival of COVID-19 in March 2020 the Board of Directors and Finn agreed that the work ahead required more than an interim approach.
With the organization’s program model transition well-underway and YWCA SEW’s services and reach significantly expanded since that time, YWCA SEW returns to its plan to tap its next generation of leadership. Following transition with the new executive, Finn will return to her role of Chief Development Officer, leading the organization’s strategic communications and revenue development work.
YWCA SEW Board Chair Lindsey Davis noted, “As an organization we are a vital part of a network of
essential service providers. Since January of 2020, a truly extraordinary partnership of Board, executive
leadership and committed staff has been our recipe for meeting the needs of our community and we now
are well-poised to move our bold mission forward even more significantly.”
