Johnson was elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. He has served as Common Council president since last year. He plans to run for mayor when a special election is held.

Johnson will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the luncheon, set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub, 137 E. Wells St.
