Editor’s note: Posts from the Community is the place for community announcements and event postings. If you have a community-oriented event you feel our readers would be interested in, please submit here.

We are designing a creative space to support local artists and businesses. Come join us in figuring out what that looks like! We will be hosting listening sessions on:

Wednesday, November 3rd, at 6 pm and Saturday, November 6th, at 2 pm

Location: 710 W Historic Mitchell St.

Please come and share your ideas! Anyone who cares about art, justice, Milwaukee, and particularly Mitchell Street is invited. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

These Listening Sessions are to solicit ideas on how we can support Milwaukee and Mitchell Street. Through conversations with community leaders, we have identified some central components to the project, but we are always flexible!

We are currently building the space to include:

– A gallery promoting local artists

– Studio spaces

– A Stage

– A coworking area and technology hub to support local BIPOC and queer businesses/projects.
