Milwaukee Area Technical College will host “Casa Abierta,” a virtual open house in Spanish about MATC bilingual programs for prospective students and their families, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4.
Students will hear from Eva Martinez Powless, MATC’s chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer along with student and alumni panelists; meet with bilingual program instructors; and get information about bilingual programs, including college-level programs, GED/HSED programs and English as a Second Language classes. Visitors can also learn about support services for bilingual students, including financial aid and scholarships, such as DACA Plus.
MATC offers bilingual programs offered through the Office of Bilingual Education, the Education Center at Walker’s Square and our community partner sites, including:
•Bilingual Office Assistant
•Child Care Services
•Early Childhood Education
•Dietary Manager Certificate
•ESL (English as a Second Language)
